Revenge of the Red Baron Half Marathon and 5K

The Revenge of the Red Baron Half Marathon and 5K is a fall road race held at SUNY Corning Community College in Corning, New York. Both races begin and end on campus. The half marathon starts earlier than the 5K, and participants in the longer race have a four-hour time limit. This is a chip-timed local event providing same-day results, age-group awards, finisher medals for all participants, and a reduced price for students or youth to encourage entry in the shorter race. The half marathon presents a more challenging course: a loop descending from the college down the mountain towards South Corning before returning runners uphill to campus. The 5K follows an out-and-back route from Corning Community College, offering a shorter experience of the event without the significant climb. The Red Baron theme contributes to the race's character. Half marathon finishers receive a custom Revenge of the Red Baron running jacket, with an option for 5K runners to purchase one. Following the races, packet pickup, awards, food, vegetarian choices, and the post-race gathering are all located at the Commons at SUNY Corning Community College.
