About this race
Riverside Ride begins Saturday morning at Riverside Park in Victoria, Texas, offering five cycling distances: 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 miles. This community ride, now in its 18th year and managed by the De Leon Club, provides multiple route choices from family-friendly to extended day rides, maintaining the same routes, historic setting, and SAG support. All routes include safety and refreshment stops with water, snacks, communication assistance, and portable toilets at intervals.
The routes traverse Riverside Park and Historic Downtown Victoria. The 50- and 60-mile options extend to the Coleto Reservoir Dam and the Guadalupe River bottom, passing near the historic Mission Espiritu Santo ruins, adding a historical element beyond the park. The ride is open to recreational, newer, and experienced cyclists, with shorter distances suitable for children accompanied by family. Riverside Ride also coincides with KIDZFest, a free children's event featuring YMCA and Discovery Children's Museum activities, inflatables, and obstacle courses, with proceeds benefiting local youth organizations.
