About this race
The Ron Jon Cocoa Beach Half Marathon & 10K takes runners through Cocoa Beach, Florida. Both races combine road running with a section of hard-packed beach at low tide. The half marathon begins at Hangars Beach, opposite the runway near Patrick Space Force Base. The 10K starts at the south entrance of Lori Wilson Park. Both races conclude on I Dream of Jeannie Lane, connecting the event to a well-known piece of Cocoa Beach's pop-culture heritage.
The half marathon heads north on State Road A1A to Hernando Lane, near Ron Jon Surf Shop. It then turns onto Ocean Beach Boulevard before its turnaround at Wakulla Lane. The 10K follows a similar route but turns around earlier, at Brevard Lane. Both courses include a loop through Shepard Park and 2.8 miles on the beach. Runners exit the sand near Minutemen Causeway, passing a lifeguard tower, a volunteer with a flag, and a palm-lined path beside the dunes.
