Run For Wings 5K

The Run For Wings 5K begins at 8:00 a.m. from a hangar at Muskegon Airport, located in Norton Shores, Michigan. This 5K run or walk follows a flat, fast course. Participants can opt for chip timing and choose registration with a premium T-shirt or without. The race is designed for both novice 5K participants and those aiming for a personal best; dogs and strollers are permitted. The airport location defines the event's character. Runners conclude on the tarmac and may remain for complimentary pancakes, aircraft displays, airplane and helicopter rides, a car show, place prizes, door prizes, and family activities including a Kids Zone, face painting, and character meet-and-greets. All funds raised benefit the West Michigan chapter of Wings of Mercy, a nonprofit organization where volunteer pilots offer free private airplane transport for low-income medical patients.
