About this race
Run Kalamazoo Move Through Summer is a 13-week training program in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for runners and walkers seeking structure without a rigid team atmosphere. Saturday sessions start early, Tuesday sessions utilize the track, and training plans cater to half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances, including a beginner option for those new to distance training.
Saturday routes vary among outdoor locations with facilities, and support extends up to half marathon distance and time. Participants are not assigned to fixed pace groups; volunteer pace setters circulate at various speeds, allowing individuals to find others moving at a similar pace. Hydration stations are available approximately every two miles, offering water, cups, basic first aid, and some nutrition. A certified running and fitness coach is stationed at the start/finish area and can assist anyone unable to complete the session.
