Run The River 2026

Run the River is a late-July evening race series on Ashman Street in downtown Midland, Michigan, centered on the Tridge during the Midland River Days Festival. The event offers short distances: a 1-mile run, a 5K run with separate male and female starts, and a 5K walk, allowing runners and walkers to share the downtown festival atmosphere. The course is primarily the downtown Midland riverfront. Run the River is part of the Midland Triple Challenge, which also includes Dow RunWalk and the Loons Pennant Race, with options for both 5K and 1-mile participants. Finishers get a stein and a drink ticket for the Rotary Tent. The festival also features live music, food, and hot air balloons.
