Run Turkey Run! Thanksgiving Day 5K

Run Turkey Run! Thanksgiving Day 5K begins early in Hamden, Connecticut. Runners and walkers depart from Multisports Academy on Sanford Street at 7:30 am. This Thanksgiving morning 5K is designed for a bit of exercise before the day focuses on family, food, and football. It suits both first-time 5K participants and those who return each holiday. The race embraces the Thanksgiving theme rather than being a standard road race. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, such as turkey hats, tutus, or full turkey or pilgrim outfits, giving the field a playful, family atmosphere. Parking and packet pickup occur at the race site. A portion of the proceeds benefits Hamden Community Services, supporting local food and resource distribution, youth and community programs, and emergency financial aid.
