Run With The Cops 2026

Run With The Cops is an evening 5K run and walk in Waukesha, Wisconsin, starting at Veteran's Park at Wisconsin and West Avenues. The event is organized by the Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Association, a nonprofit volunteer group that supports the Waukesha Police Department and raises funds for department needs. It began in 2014 with a straightforward purpose: to offer Waukesha residents and police officers a relaxed way to interact outside of their usual routines. Participants can select the standard 5K or a 5K ruck, and children 12 and under may participate without charge, with an option to purchase a shirt. The start and finish area will feature public safety displays prior to the race, allowing families to explore before the 7:00 p.m. start. The event coincides with Friday Night Live in downtown Waukesha, contributing a community gathering atmosphere beyond that of a typical road race. WCPAA also funds an annual scholarship honoring Officer Michael Inzeo, positioning the race within a larger local initiative rather than as an isolated fundraising event.
