About this race
The 14th Annual Salute the Troops is a memorial run/ruck on a prairie trail through Lakeside Park, raising funds for Wisconsin veterans and suicide prevention. The course is wheelchair friendly with divisions for wheeled participants. Kids 12 and under have a fun run and activities on Oven Island. The event honors Derek Dobagi and Brandon Michael and includes a memorial boot garden. "Hero’s don’t wear capes, they wear dog tags."
