About this race
The 2nd Annual event, hosted by Budokan Newton Martial Arts and Sensei's Samurai in Downtown Newton, helps fund the William Alden Elliott Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors Alden Elliott, a Newton-Conover High School graduate, US Marine, and Task Force Officer with the U.S. Marshals Service, who was killed in the line of duty. Alden supported his son's martial arts at Budokan Newton, and this scholarship supports two local seniors pursuing higher education.
