The 10K and 10-mile races begin on the Sorlie Bridge in downtown Grand Forks, North Dakota, providing the See Dick Run Grand Forks 10 a distinct city-center atmosphere from the outset. This is the sixth running of the race weekend organized by the Grand Forks Running team, offering three options: a Friday evening Altru Beach Party 5K, and Saturday morning 10K and 10-mile road races. The 5K offers a more relaxed pace with a run/walk format, optional water features, and other playful obstacles along the Greenway adjacent to the Red River. The longer races depart downtown, proceed along University Avenue, traverse the University of North Dakota campus, loop back toward downtown, and utilize the greenways of both East Grand Forks and Grand Forks. Both races conclude at the flood obelisk near Town Square, placing the main races close to the downtown area where participants can enjoy music and additional race-weekend activities. Proceeds benefit charities the organizers have supported for over 12 years, lending the weekend a local running event feel with a community focus rather than simply a collection of race distances.
