About this race
The Shannon Trail Series comprises three trail races near San Angelo, Texas, each featuring a short and a long distance option. Race 1 is a 5K or 10K at Middle Concho Park. Race 2 is a 5K or 12K at Twin Buttes Reservoir. Race 3 is a 5K or 15K at San Angelo State Park. Both runners and walkers are welcome; there is no virtual participation, and pets are not permitted on the courses.
The series offers incentives for participants completing all three events. Scoring is determined by cumulative gun time across the series. To be eligible for series awards, participants must select and complete the same short or long distance category for all three races. Medals are awarded to finishers on race day at each event. Overall and age-group awards will be presented following the third race. Age groups range from 0-9 to 90-99, with an additional 100+ category.
