Skidaway Island Half Marathon & 5k 2027

The Skidaway Island Half Marathon & 5K takes place in late February on Skidaway Island near Savannah, Georgia. The half marathon begins at 7:30 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:00 AM. This race is held within The Landings Association and The Landings Club, a private residential area not typically accessible to Savannah visitors. Approximately 800 runners participate in the half marathon, with another 200 in the 5K, creating a more intimate and manageable atmosphere compared to large urban races. Complimentary parking is available close to the start, and participants receive complimentary course and finish-line photographs. The half marathon course is predominantly paved and very flat, certified by US Track and Field, making it suitable for those aiming for an official time. The route offers views of marshlands and the riverfront, passes by upscale residences, and crosses sections of The Landings golf courses. Traffic is minimal, with occasional golf carts driven by residents sharing the route. All finishers are awarded a medal and a race shirt. Age-group awards extend to eighth place, and River Street Sweets offers a special treat at the finish line.
