Sloth Run ATLANTA is a small Atlanta group run offering 5K, 10K, and half-marathon distances, founded on the Sloth Runners Club principle that pace is personal. Its motto states the objective clearly: “It doesn't matter how fast we get there, all that matters is we get there.” Runners and walkers are welcome at all paces, and participants under 18 require a guardian. The event utilizes morning waves instead of a single mass start, with each wave limited to approximately 15 to 20 individuals.
This event is not chip-timed, making it feel more like a supported group run than a typical road race. Bibs are distributed on race day, coordinators can assist runners in recording an optional time, and late arrivals may still participate while staff are present. Registration includes a running shirt mailed to U.S. addresses, with medals available upon request post-race. A virtual option is also available, which can be completed from any location, including optional text support from a coach prior to the run.
