Snow Bird Classic - America 250 Challenge 2026

The Snow Bird Classic - America 250 Challenge is based out of Fort Myers, Florida, but the running is virtual. Participants can log miles anywhere during July. This is the second race in a summer series designed for snow-birds and transplant families, with events scheduled across June, July, August, and September. Runners and walkers select a state to represent upon registration and can add any number of miles throughout the month. There is no fixed course; the competition is on the results board, where states are ranked by total miles and total participants. The America 250 theme connects the challenge to 250 years and all 50 states, making each logged walk or run a point for home-state pride. The winning state receives social media recognition, "Apex Snowbird Champion" bragging rights, and double votes toward the end-of-summer charity selection.
