About this race
Speedy PD is an annual 5K, 10K, and half-mile Memorial Run/Walk held at Tuttle Creek State Park in Manhattan, Kansas. The event begins with the Memorial Run/Walk, followed immediately by the Don Rasmussen 5K and the 10K. Proceeds benefit the Meadowlark Parkinson's Program, supporting individuals with Parkinson's disease, their caregivers, therapists, and nurses throughout the Flint Hills region.
The 5K and 10K courses are USATF-certified and entirely paved within the park. The 5K course remains largely flat to the finish. The 10K course is also very flat and offers shade for a significant portion of the route. Both routes accommodate strollers, welcoming families, walkers, runners seeking certified times, and those participating primarily to support Parkinson's care. Donations contribute to funding education, outreach, medical scholarships, medical care, and efforts to establish a future Parkinson's resource center for Kansas.
