About this race
Still Hollow Trail Race is a flat 5K and 10K trail run at Weeki Wachee Preserve in Hernando County, Florida. The race uses preserve trails rather than roads, with runners choosing between a shorter 5K and a longer 10K option. It began as an inaugural event and is built around the Cupcake Series Challenge, which gives every registrant a place in the multi-year series.
The course loops around several lakes before returning to the finish, so the run is straightforward rather than technical or hilly. Hydration stations and course support are part of the setup, with portable restrooms, a results kiosk, and free race photos available. The cupcake theme is not subtle: finishers get a large gourmet cupcake, a cupcake finisher medal, and a cupcake logo shirt, while age-group winners receive cupcake awards and the overall male and female winners get trophies. Runners who come back three years in a row earn special series extras, including a huge finisher medal, a trail running light, and a foldable water bottle.
