Summer in Disguise Charity Fun Run/Walk 2026

Summer in Disguise is a superhero-costume 5K run/walk held at Michigan Beach Park Pavilion in Charlevoix, Michigan. The race begins at 8:00 a.m., with registration and check-in starting at 7:30, and it proceeds regardless of weather. This event is designed for families, welcoming walkers, strollers, and leashed, non-aggressive pets. The course starts and ends near the pavilion at Michigan Beach, proceeding along Park Avenue and Lakeshore Drive before returning by the same path. Costumes are central to the event, ranging from popular superheroes to handmade capes and light sabers, provided they are family-appropriate. Water and light snacks are available at the finish line, parking is complimentary, and all proceeds benefit Safe Haven Ministries CHX. This local nonprofit supports Charlevoix through free bi-weekly breakfasts, summer meals for students with lower incomes, school supply distribution, and an emergency winter shelter for men.
