About this race

Brazos River Park hosts the Summer Meltdown Half Marathon, an "ultimate test of endurance and spirit" from the Bigfoot Running Company. This event honors resilience and community, set within Texas's natural landscapes, inviting runners to "Embrace the Heat, Conquer the Challenge" memorably. The course offers scenic views, winding through shaded trails by rivers and across hills, with "nature in full summer bloom" surrounding participants despite the "notorious Texas heat." Whether a seasoned marathoner or a "first-time half marathon participant," expect high energy and a focus on participant experience, featuring "Bigfoot Trophy's" for top finishers and a "Kids Dash" for "little Yeti's." Post-race, snacks and refreshments are available at the rally tent with a DJ.
