Summit Mountain Challenge 2027

The Summit Mountain Challenge is a six-race summer mountain bike series on the trails of Summit County, Colorado. Races are held on Wednesday evenings from May to August, offering long, short, and kids course options suitable for competitive riders, newer racers, and families. The Breckenridge Classic serves as the final event. Riders aiming for an overall series result must complete five of the six races on the same course type. Jeff Wescott of Maverick Sports Promotions originated the series, which Breckenridge Recreation now manages, maintaining its focus on affordable, well-organized community racing. As the courses utilize National Forest trails under a White River National Forest permit, the race director may delay, cancel, or reschedule events due to weather or trail conditions.
