About this race
The Tarentino Strong 5K is a 5K run/walk held at the Auburn Elks Lodge on Southbridge Street in Auburn, Massachusetts. The main race begins in the morning, preceded by a Kids Fun Run for children age 8 and under, making the event suitable for both runners and families, not just competitive racers.
The race was established following the death of Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. in the line of duty. This day offers the community a means to honor him, the connections he forged throughout Massachusetts, and individuals who serve or have served the nation. Race morning features chip timing, live results, complimentary finish-line photos, raffles, and a DJ. The charitable fund associated with the event provides support to families experiencing loss, illness, or tragedy, offers scholarships to service-oriented students, aids local pantries and shelters, assists veterans' groups, funds kindness initiatives in schools, and helps children with cancer, special needs, or chronic medical conditions.
