About this race
Waterfront Park hosts this event for Global Running Day, inviting runners to share in the camaraderie of the running community at The Big Run. This annual event, partnering again with Girls on the Run Kentuckiana, encourages runners of all levels to challenge their personal limits. It's an opportunity for families to gather and share in the joy of movement.
Before the main event, children are invited to a free Kids Dash, an untimed fun dash run/walk at the Start/Finish line, where they can build their confidence. All participants, in the Kids Dash and the longer distance, receive a finisher's medal, ensuring a sense of accomplishment. Top finishers also earn awards, and donations can support Girls on the Run Kentuckiana.
