The world's most efficient light, the firefly, is featured at Alum Creek State Park on the Rocks and Roots trail. This overnight endurance challenge and trail race captures the essence of summer nights, welcoming runners and families to gather under the stars at the Alum Creek State Park Group Campsite.
Enjoy 12 hours of supported, overnight racing on the "ONLY trail in central Ohio built BY runners, FOR runners!". Headlamps are required, and reflective gear, glow-sticks, and body-paint are encouraged. Runners who are comfortable in the dark will find a welcoming community, with families and kids enjoying the atmosphere. An "extra credit lap for bragging rights only" is available before a celebratory pancake breakfast.
