About this race

The Inferno Challenge Englewood is a summer race held at Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park in Charlotte County, Florida. It offers 5K, 10K, and 30K distances, all beginning at 7:30 AM. The terrain is flat and fast; the challenge comes from the Florida heat, with participants expected to manage sun and sweat over summer miles rather than a difficult course. The 5K is suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities, while the 10K and 30K are designed for endurance runners prepared for extended time in the heat. The course is run in laps: one lap for the 5K, two for the 10K, and six for the 30K. All participants must finish by 12:30 PM, making the longer races a test of pacing and heat endurance. Packet pickup is available on race morning at the park pavilion; there is no Friday pickup. Finishers will receive a custom Inferno medal and an event shirt, with awards presented to top overall and age-group finishers.
