About this race
This 5th Annual event honors our nation and remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have died in the line of duty. Before the Memorial 5K, area veterans and active-duty service members will conduct a Ceremony of Remembrance. It's a run through the Lake Barrington Shores community, and it's a 100% Charity 5K Race, with proceeds benefiting the Memorial 5K Foundation and other veteran organizations. Participants receive a race tech shirt and a finishers medal.
