About this race
The Santa Fe International Half Marathon is a point-to-point 13.1-mile race in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The main race starts at La Tienda Plaza in Eldorado and finishes at the Railyard. Now in its fifth running, the event is structured as a race weekend, offering more than just a half marathon. Participants can also enter a three-person 3-Amigos Relay, a 4K from the Railyard Community Garden to the park, or a free 1K Kids Run for children ages 3 to 14. The half marathon has a 3:30 cutoff. Runners receive a shuttle to the start, and their bags are transported to the finish for pickup.
The half marathon route follows Old Las Vegas Highway back toward Santa Fe, concluding in the Railyard area near the expo and packet pickup. The event aims to attract serious runners, first-time half marathoners, relay teams, families, visitors, and local health-minded individuals. The weekend also features a Health and Wellness Expo at Old Warehouse 21, including packet pickup, late registration, product demonstrations, samples, and advice from nutrition and fitness professionals. A unique family activity is the Kids Indigo T-Shirt Workshop with artist Gasali Adeyemo, where children create their own race-themed shirts. The event supports the Kitany Water Project, raising funds for clean, sustainable water access in underserved communities.
