TOUGH SHEEP 2027

FRI, February 5, 2027 · Reno , United States

About this race

TOUGH SHEEP is a 600-person workout held at the Sheep Show in Reno, Nevada. It simulates the physical demands of a wild sheep hunt. Participants depart in 30-person waves. The event emphasizes completion over competition, although a Pro Comp division offers prizes and recognition for those seeking a greater challenge. The workout is designed to replicate the strenuous effort of steep, rugged backcountry terrain, differing from typical gym challenges. All participants who start and finish are entered into a drawing for a sheep hunt. One finisher from the entire field will be selected for the hunt prize; the winner must be present to claim it. The event is presented in partnership with Wild Sheep Conservation, and its initial editions generated $122,500 for the Wild Sheep Foundation, aiding wild sheep and their habitat.
