About this race

Tri Santa Cruz is a late-season multisport race held near 119 Center Street in Santa Cruz, California. Its main events are sprint and international (Olympic-distance) triathlons. The race offers a wide variety of options: athletes can compete in triathlon, relay, aquabike, aquathlon, duathlon, open-water swim, 5K run, Clydesdale and Athena divisions, paratriathlon, and a super sprint. A non-competitive Family & Friends wave is also available for those new to triathlon or racing with family across age and gender groups. The swim is sheltered, reducing intimidation for newer participants. The bike and run courses are flat, following the Santa Cruz coastline. The bike leg utilizes a fully closed course, which aids both confidence and pacing. The event accommodates diverse participants, including first-timers, relay teams, triathlon clubs, youth athletes, seniors, and those aiming for personal bests.
