Veins of Gold 2026

The race trail leads up Government Peak, over the ridge to April Bowl, and down to Independence Mine. The course includes steep uphill trail, loose rock, shale, tundra, dirt road, and a bit of paved road. Backcountry comfort, vertical gain, loose footing, and steep ridges are necessary due to unpredictable mountain weather. Veins of Gold 2026 benefits the Alaska Mountain Rescue Group, with 10% of registration fees donated.
