About this race
The Warrior Wolf Challenge is a six-hour hybrid fitness race in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. It is structured around three workouts named for Slavic gods, testing running speed, loaded endurance, strength, grip, obstacle skills, accuracy, and mental toughness, instead of a single standard road distance. Athletes can compete in Elite or Scaled divisions, with the choice made just before the event, accommodating both serious competitors and those new to this format.
Stribog focuses on speed with a ruck-style run: Elite athletes carry a 30-pound ruck for three miles, while Scaled athletes run two miles without a ruck. Perun is the strength component, featuring a 200-meter tank push-pull, a 100-meter trap-bar farmer carry, and progressively heavier cleans. Veles is the obstacle course, which Elite athletes must complete. Top Elite men and women compete for cash prizes and the Wolf Chalice, while Scaled division prizes are sponsor-dependent.
