We ❤️ Teachers 5K 2026

The We ❤️ Teachers 5K focuses on educators on race day, featuring school spirit awards, a fastest-teacher category, and a parent-child Legacy Award in addition to standard overall and age-group prizes. The Charlotte race takes place annually in March at McAlpine Creek Park. The Atlanta edition is a back-to-school 5K held in Westside Park, Atlanta’s largest green space. This is a community 5K, open to more than just runners; participants can run, walk, cheer, volunteer, sponsor, or form a school team. The Charlotte course winds through McAlpine Creek Park and includes some hills. The Atlanta course crosses Westside Park, a filming site for The Walking Dead and Stranger Things. Get Fit At School organizes the series as part of its mission focused on teacher health and wellness, a mission it has pursued for over ten years. Finishers get a shirt and medal. The race is chip timed and includes a warm-up, music, food, prizes, and awards for school participation and team performance.
