Wheels and Wings XVI

Wheels and Wings is a Punta Gorda, Florida cycling weekend starting and finishing at Beef O'Brady's, reflecting its personality. This is the 16th annual event and part of the CAAM Cycling Series, offering road ride distances of 15, 31, 50, and 62 miles. The main ride accommodates various cyclists, including those preferring shorter routes, half-century, metric-century, and supported social rides, ensuring a suitable distance for all. The road routes feature three rest stops, SAG support, a light breakfast, a raffle, a signature Wheels & Wings jersey with registration, wing meal tickets, and two drink tickets. The weekend also includes a Gravel Grinder at Cecil Webb and a Saturday night Pub Ride. For the Pub Ride, participants are encouraged to decorate themselves and their bikes in red, white, and blue for the Flag Day theme, "United We Ride." Awards are given for the best decorated bikes and riders. The event benefits local community charities, including Team Punta Gorda Yellow Bikes and the Charlotte County Bicycle Safety Program.
