Whiskey Road Race

The Whiskey Road Race sends its 10K field down Whiskey Road in Aiken, South Carolina, with a 5K offered for runners and walkers seeking a shorter option. This race has been a fixture in Aiken for over 40 years. The main 10K and 5K begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 1-Mile Fun Run and Tot Trot at 9:30 a.m. The 10K route crosses Aiken’s historic horse district and South Boundary Avenue, offering a course closely connected to the town rather than a standard loop. Participants travel from across the CSRA and South Carolina. Both the 5K and 10K utilize chip timing, and the event benefits the Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons, supporting victims of domestic and sexual violence.
