Women's Distance Festival Run & Walk 5k 2026

The Women's Distance Festival Run & Walk 5K is a component of the Crim Festival of Races in Flint, Michigan. This August road-running festival centers on the 10-mile race known locally as The Crim. The festival also features the Michigan Mile Series, a 5-mile "half Crim," the Teddy Bear Trot, and the Lois Craig Invitational Special Olympics Race. Thus, the 5K is integrated into a larger weekend of races and walks. The main Crim course is known for Bradley Hills and a blue line painted to guide runners. Shorter races utilize sections of the 10-mile course, passing areas like Chevy Commons and the Mott Park neighborhood. The event attracts international runners and draws approximately 50,000 people to Flint annually. Founded by Bobby Crim and Lois Craig as a Special Olympics fundraiser, the event maintains this connection through its beneficiary, Area 13 Special Olympics, and the Friday race named for Craig.
