About this race
The Woolaroc 8K begins within the Woolaroc Wildlife Preserve in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Park gates close at 7:30 a.m. for the 8:00 a.m. start. This is an annual, chip-timed, USATF-certified 8K race, accompanied by a 1-mile Fun Run starting soon after the main event. Race-day registration and packet pickup occur at Woolaroc’s Play Ground Pavilion before the gates close.
The course guides participants through the preserve’s grounds, featuring Woolaroc’s ranch, museum, lodge, and wildlife area instead of a typical road race through town. Runners and their guests receive complimentary admission to Woolaroc, with access to the museum and lodge post-race. Buffalo burgers and other food items are available for purchase on-site. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in standard 8K age categories. Proceeds from the event support Run the Streets, a Bartlesville mentoring program.
