Worth the Weight Race 2026

The Worth the Weight Race takes place on a Saturday morning in Old Westmont, Johnstown, Pennsylvania, starting at 827 Diamond Blvd. The event features a 5K, 10K, Kids Fun Run, and a virtual race. The children's race begins at 8:00 AM, followed by the adult 5K run/walk and 10K at 8:15 AM. On-site bathrooms are available. Registration costs $25 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K, $10 for the kids race, and $25 for the virtual option, prior to a price increase. The routes for the in-person races traverse Old Westmont and incorporate the Johnstown Inclined Plane. This marks the fifth year for the race. Video tours of the 5K and 10K courses are provided. The event includes food, beverages, music, numerous prizes, awards for top finishers, and benefits the Worth the Weight Fund, which organizers state provides “comfort by the pound.”
