Zonta 5k

The Zonta 5K in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, begins at Arena Park, with registration located at the 4-H Building. Participants can choose from three distances: a 10K, a 5K, and a 1-mile fun run/walk. The 10K starts before the 5K and 1-mile events, which both commence at 8 a.m. This schedule accommodates various participants, including club runners, casual walkers, families, and children, catering to different paces. The race supports Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau service projects aimed at improving the lives of women and girls locally and globally. It is included in the Cape Road Runners Grand Prix Events, attracting both local runners and newcomers. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age division. Additionally, first-place medals are handcrafted by Haitian artists.
