Freycinet Challenge 2026

Native bushland on the Freycinet Peninsula shapes this race before it opens to sea, road, and dirt. The Freycinet Challenge marks the 26th running of the "Australian Multi-sport Championship," a two-day, four-discipline event set against the raw beauty of Freycinet National Park. It offers a weekend of moving through coastal country under your own power. The course combines trail running, sea kayaking, road bike time trialling, and mountain biking across eight stages, concluding on the trail on the second day. Anticipate "coastal paddling with views of the Hazards mountain range," the challenge of "challenging mountain bike trails," and sufficient "scenic road cycling" to make the transitions significant. Experienced multi-sport athletes may compete solo, while teams and individual-stage entries accommodate participants who wish to engage in parts of the event without committing to the entire weekend.
