Falling Leaves 8 miler and 5K

Falling Leaves is a trail race at Secor and Wiregrass Metroparks near Berkey, Ohio. It offers an 8-mile option, actually around 7.7 miles, and a 5K loop that measures about 3.3 miles. The races utilize flat, non-technical park trails, with a participant limit of 250. The 5K is walker-friendly, making the day suitable for more than just runners seeking a challenging trail effort. The longer route begins by the Secor Room, proceeds counter-clockwise on the Secor all-purpose trail, links to the Moseley Trail, circles Wiregrass Lake, and concludes back at the Secor Room. The 5K follows a single, extended loop of the Secor all-purpose trail. All finishers receive medals. Awards are presented to the overall, masters, and grand masters winners for each distance. The event is part of the Toledo Roadrunners Club Trail Series, in conjunction with Metroparks Toledo. Second Sole sponsors the race, handles early packet pickup, and contributes to the raffle prizes. Organizers also implement a reusable cup program using Hydrapak cups.
