2025 Capital To Coast 2026

Capital To Coast is a 100km multistage trail race from Canberra to the South Coast of New South Wales, run from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Runners complete nine stages: a Friday prologue, four stages on Saturday, and four more on Sunday. Each stage is roughly 8km to 15km, breaking a long point-to-point journey into repeated hard efforts rather than one continuous ultra. The route uses trail, fire roads, dirt roads, and single track, with changing elevation and terrain between stages. It is open to runners of all experience levels, giving it more of a shared trail-running weekend feel than a race for specialists. A committee of volunteer trail runners organizes it as part of Canberra Runners, and the event relies heavily on volunteers across the stages. Its materials also include an Acknowledgement of Country.
