Brandenburger Beetzseelauf

The Brandenburger Beetzseelauf begins at the regatta course on Beetzsee, adjacent to Brandenburg an der Havel, offering runners a full morning of events instead of a single-distance race. The schedule includes a half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km races, plus a 3 km for students and beginners, a 600 m run for young children, and a walking start following the 5 km. VfL Brandenburg has organized this long-standing autumn event. The half marathon route encircles Beetzsee. Shorter races follow the same local path around the regatta area and lake roads. The event accommodates various participants: club runners can compete in longer distances, families can bring children for the Bambini run, and new runners have a short option. Aid stations are placed along the courses. The finish area provides fruit, cake, and drinks. Bambini and 5 km finishers get medals. Music and announcements at the venue contribute to a local sports festival atmosphere, distinct from a subdued road race.
