À propos de cette course
The Nikolaus Expedition is an off-road cycling event held in November, organized by RSV Husum e.V. It starts in Ostenfeld, near Husum in Schleswig-Holstein. This event is a CTF, a cross-country cycling tour, not a road race. Three GPS-marked routes are offered: 35 km, 56 km, and 67 km. The event begins at 10:00 and is designed for gravel riders and mountain bikers.
Peter Carstens mapped out the three courses. Although described as flat, they do feature some elevation gain: approximately 223 meters for the 35 km route, 156 meters for the 56 km route, and 244 meters for the 67 km route. Participants can navigate using a GPS track or follow a guide. The St. Nicholas theme is incorporated into the day; the organizer humorously mentions riding off with Nikolaus treats before serving soup at the finish line.
