The Sieber Berg- und Panoramalauf is a mountain running event held in Sieber, Harz. It features three routes that converge at a single finish line. The shortest is a 4.5 km course with 130 meters of elevation gain, designed for children, teenagers, and novice runners seeking an introduction to mountain running. The intermediate Panorama route covers approximately 12.5 km with 500 meters of elevation gain, ascending to the Großen Knollen. The longest, the Original route, spans 27.5 km with 900 meters of climbing, taking ambitious participants over both the Großen Knollen and the Hanskühnenburg.
The event revives a Harz running tradition, offering a format that caters to a wide range of participants beyond just seasoned mountain runners. Courses are available for families, young athletes, beginners, experienced mountain sports enthusiasts, and strong distance runners. Following the races, the festivities continue at the Großen Wiesen with a village festival featuring music and games. This festival is open to both participants and the general public wishing to join the weekend's activities.
