The Sparkassen Allgäu Rundfahrt begins and ends at Auto Brosch in Durach, located near Kempten in southern Germany's Allgäu region. This event is designed for groups, teams, companies, families, gravel riders, mountain bikers, and road cyclists. Starts are staggered in the morning, with all tours concluding in the afternoon. The focus is not on speed or winning; teams accumulate kilometers ridden together, and the team ranking is determined by the total distance covered.
Riders have five route options, ranging from a short Family & Kids loop of approximately 39 km to a 200 km road route featuring over 2,400 meters of elevation gain. Intermediate choices include a 75 km Gravel/MTB course, an 80 km road route, and a 140 km road route, catering to both leisurely participants and those seeking a challenging Allgäu ride. The routes incorporate both paved and unpaved surfaces. Experienced guides will accompany some groups, and the gravel sections are connected with regional professional athlete Ines Thoma.
