XTERRA O-SEE Ultra Trail

The XTERRA O-SEE Ultra Trail starts in Kurort Oybin, located within the Zittau Mountains Nature Park. This park is Germany's smallest low mountain range, situated near the Polish and Czech borders. It stands as the sole XTERRA race in Germany and is part of the global XTERRA Trail Run World Series. The event focuses on mountain trail running, offering solo races from 16k up to 100k, alongside Team Duo formats for the 25k, 50k, 75k, and 100k distances. The routes feature steep, technical trails instead of simple park paths. The 25k involves over 1,000 meters of climbing, and the 50k UTMB Index race covers approximately 51 km with 2,340 meters of elevation gain. The event also includes beginner trails and short cross-country races for children, making it suitable for a wider audience beyond ultrarunners. When the race hosts the XTERRA European Trail Run Championship, the 25k and 50k distances gain significance, offering age-group awards and qualification spots for the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship.
