Cross el Juncaral

Cross El Juncaral is a cross-country running race held in Villanúa, located in the Huesca Pyrenees, typically in early November. It features two marked routes within the Villanúa municipal boundaries: a longer course spanning approximately 10.6 to 11 km and a shorter course of about 5 to 5.5 km. The longer route consists of two laps, and the event includes categories for both children and adults. The race follows the El Juncaral path and incorporates a segment of the Camino de Santiago. The terrain is noted as being nearly flat, making it more accessible than many races in mountainous regions. Villanúa Deporte, in conjunction with the Villanúa town council and Club Atletismo Jaca, organizes the event. RaceChip Aragón manages the timing and provides distinct results for the short and long courses. The race is a long-standing tradition, with editions extending into the teens.
