The Cursa de les Cassoles de Tros is a running and walking event in Juneda, Lleida. The 10K race begins in Plaça Catalunya in the afternoon. While chip-timed, the 10K is designated non-competitive, making it suitable for runners seeking a quick, accessible run rather than a demanding mountain race. The course includes approximately 60 meters of elevation gain, offering a brief challenge without transforming it into a difficult trail run.
The 10K route follows the Canal d’Urgell bank through Juneda, utilizing the shaded Banqueta path alongside the fourth canal channel. Participants will pass the first and second water stations, the Tati woods, the les Planes meander, and the 9 salts, which features the primary climb. The broader Cassoles de Tros event also features a shorter 5.5K run and two popular walks of 14K and 8K; the 8K walk also proceeds to the 9 salts. Poplar and elm trees provide shade for most of the routes, and the canal-side water features contribute a distinct local character to the event.
