Legua de la Mujer

Legua de la Mujer is a running series for women's solidarity held in nine Spanish cities. The Barcelona edition is connected to the larger Carrera de la Mujer event. In Barcelona, runners pick up bibs and shirts at the Mar Bella pavilion. The event area there offers participant services, sponsor booths, and health information, including materials on breast cancer prevention. The Barcelona event also stood out for its language use. Most signs, emails, shirts, bibs, and sponsor ads featured Spanish. Catalan was present only on select booths, such as those for Cursa dels Nassos and Associació de Dones de Ca l’Aurèlia. Jordi Castellana of ERC commended the race's charitable aim and the city's organizational efforts. However, he noted the minimal presence of Catalan at an event backed by Barcelona City Council.
