Le dernier homme debout Vendée is a last-runner-standing trail race held in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, Vendée. Participants complete the same loop repeatedly until only one woman and one man remain. The race is limited to a 24-hour duration. This event is organized by Association trail raid aventure Sèvre (ATRAS), and pre-registration for the upcoming edition will open in November.
The race is popular, with one recent edition attracting 325 starters, including 44 women. Séverine Libouban secured the women’s “dernière dame debout” title by completing 11 laps and 84.7 km. Yohan Nezan claimed the men’s “dernier homme debout Vendée” title after 18 laps. According to ATRAS president Jean-Baptiste Rousselot, local authorities, partners, and volunteers are actively involved.
