À propos de cette course
Ronde des Châteaux is a small annual running event held in Seyssuel, in France's Isère department. It begins at the Atrium on chemin des Cures and features two nature-race distances. Participants can choose a 10 km option on country roads and paths, or a more challenging 17 km route with minimal road running. The shorter race involves approximately 180 meters of elevation gain, while the longer one climbs about 480 meters. Both courses require more than just flat-road speed.
The 17 km course runs about 80% on trails and paths, winding through the Seyssuel vineyards and offering views of the Rhône valley. The 10 km route follows roads and rural tracks more closely, with a refreshment stop at the halfway point. The 17 km course has aid stations around the 5 km and 12 km marks. Courir à Seyssuel organizes the event, limiting the 10 km to 200 runners and the 17 km to 250. Children’s races are free and untimed. All registered runners receive a participant gift, and finishers are treated to a substantial refreshment spread. Additionally, one euro from each entry fee supports the association “allez, on y va Mathis.”
